The Good and The Bad of Working At Home

Working at home with your own internet marketing business is one
of the easiest things to start that you can do. It is happening
all over the world. Millions of people have done it in the
united States alone. We've all seen ads that talk about getting
rich in your underwear. Or work all day in your pajamas. It's
true.

However there are good things and there are bad things you need
to consider when thinking about working at home with your own
internet business. Here are a few.

The biggest benefit is you control your own time. You work when
you want. If you have kids this is a great thing as you can be
there for them when you need them. If you want to take a day and
go to the beach you can do it without asking your boss. If you
want to go out to lunch with a friend and stay out for 2 hours
that is no problem. You are the boss.

Another benefit is the money you save when you do not have to
get up and go to work. No day care expenses. You will save money
on gas and wear and tear on your car. You won't eat out as much.
Your wardrobe is less expensive as well.

One bad thing about being your own boss is you may not get as
much work done. If you are not a highly self motivated person
working at home on the internet can be tough. It is up to you to
have goals and the drive to succeed.

Another thing that some people do not like is the isolation they
feel working at home. You have no co-workers and no interaction
with people like you had in your job. Of course one way to
counter that is to get involved in charity, church, the PTA,
kids sports, etc. Doing this will give some meaning to what you
do outside of internet business at home.

One other downside can be the loss of income. No steady paycheck
or company benefits like health insurance or a 401k is not for
everyone. The positive side of this is you have no cap on your
income and one way to get rich is to make all of your own money
and not make it for someone else.

Is working at home online for you? Do this. Take a piece of
paper and make 2 columns. On the left list the positives of
working for yourself. On the right hand side list the negatives.
Be truthful. You will see both the good and the bad of working
at home and working online.
